Heavy

Calista has a past that keeps chasing her, and when her life collapses by her own choices, she is left with an impossible escape plan: hide out in a remote cabin with a man everyone should be afraid of. The cabin is supposed to be a renovation project, a way to rebuild the vacation home where her family once spent summers, but her new roommate is the kind of complication she cannot ignore. Ronan has spent fifteen years behind bars, and freedom does not feel like salvation. He expects to drink himself into ruin or end up back in prison, until his little step-niece appears at the cabin and starts treating him like something that can be repaired. Heavy is a dark taboo romance about forced proximity, a remote cabin, enemies-to-lovers tension, forbidden attraction, family-adjacent taboo, trauma, and a convicted killer whose past makes every moment feel dangerous.
